In January 2007 Sean Heighton from Brislington White Watch and his
friend Simon Vann Jones completed a 3,700 mile expedition through
Europe and Africa in a 1992 Landrover.
The pair, known as The Desert Cowboys, spent three weeks driving
through varied terrain for the challenge, helping to raise over
£2,000 for GAFSIP.
During a ceremony the day after their arrival in Banjul, Sean and
Simon handed over the vehicle to the Gambian Fire and Ambulance
